Saw Kevin Pollack last night at the movies....

Kevin Pollack, you may remember him from his venerable performance as Todd Hockney in the Usual Suspects, was at the Landmark Theater in West LA last night.
I give him credit, he looked good for being 51, and had a nice looking date (what appeared to be his date, not sure though). Although I haven't seem him in anything new, I notice on imdb that he has been busy working. I have always been a fan of Pollack. He is a versatile actor - from playing a tough guy-explosives expert in the Usual Suspects to an ethically challenged D.A. in Shark - Pollack always brings a tenacity and grit thats not uncommon amongst seasoned actors of his generation.
Oh yeah, he does a pretty sweet Christopher Walken impersonation too, check him out here. On a collateral note, the best actor doing impersonations is *hands down* Kevin Spacey, (also in the Usual Suspects) check him out here.

MIchael Jackson: Icon, Creative Genius,...Inventor?

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, wore many hats. But, surprisingly, he was also an inventor! Michael was the named inventor for the patent titled: METHOD AND MEANS FOR CREATING ANTI-GRAVITY ILLUSION.
The patent covers, in part: A system for allowing a shoe wearer to lean forwardly beyond his center of gravity by virtue of wearing a specially designed pair of shoes which will engage with a hitch member movably projectable through a stage surface. The shoes have a specially designed heel slot which can be detachably engaged with the hitch member by simply sliding the shoe wearer's foot forward, thereby engaging with the hitch member.

Michael's patent may be read in full here.
